The lunch was attended by 48 members from various branches in the area and they appreciated the opportunity to meet and talk with Ms Stanhope in an informal setting.
The Gunnedah branch celebrated its 97th birthday on June 23 and members have started researching and discussing plans for a big celebration for the branch's 100th birthday in 2022.
It was the sixth branch to be formed in the state and Emerald Hill was the second. CWA of NSW will be 100 years old in April of the same year.

Fifty members and guests attended the branch's International Day last month.
This year's country of study is Papua New Guinea and the crowd was treated to a day of culinary delights and information. The "delightful" guest speaker was local woman Casey Hatch.
The branch is now busy preparing for the association's exhibit at stand A23 at AgQuip in August.
Items are needed for sale, such as handicrafts, jams and pickles and the very popular cooking section. Any member who can spare a few hours to help man the stalls will be most welcome.
Homemade biscuits are also needed for the hospitality section, the only varieties needed are Anzac and jam drops.
Gunnedah CWA is also making plans to enter the various sections of the Namoi Group Cultural and International Day at Curlewis on Thursday, September 26.
