The Certificate IV in Programming provides students with skills in the most widely-used programming languages to develop mobile and other applications, as well as designing user interfaces, and writing and testing coding.

Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said the state government, through TAFE NSW, was supporting the Gunnedah community by "ensuring the workforce has the skills to meet the demands of such an evolving industry".
"The course is not only aimed at those already working in the IT industry looking to improve their skills, but also those interested in starting a new career," Mr Anderson said.
"We are committed to providing regional places like ... Gunnedah with the opportunity to upskill on the latest industry trends and technology taught by experienced industry professionals. IT skills are currently in-demand and are expected to be for a while."
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee said the course could lead to in-demand roles such as an application programmer, mobile applications, or software developer.
"Students are able to get the job-ready skills at TAFE NSW by studying a mixture of face-to-face and online through blended delivery, making it easier to maintain a work/life balance of studying when and where it suits them," Mr Lee said.
