Steven Craig is set to represent Australia's under-21 tentpegging team in South Africa, alongside Tamworth's Jayme Averillo.
For the 16-year-old, the representative honour is overdue as he was previously selected to represent Australia at the tentpegging World Cup in January.

Australian teammate and tentpegging mentor Scott Miller said the honour was "well earned" by Craig.
"It was disappointing to see the World Cup trip get cancelled earlier in the year," Miller said.
"I know both Jayme and Craig were really excited to go to Oman and represent their country.
"They had raised some funds to help go, so those funds will be used for this trip, which is fantastic."
Miller said both Australia's senior and under-21 team would have their work cut out for them against South Africa.
"They [South Africa] actually came second at that World Cup event," he said.
"They will be tough to beat that's for sure.
"However, I think we are in pretty good form at the moment and have had a really good preparation.
"So, it should be very interesting to see how we go."
The team will leave for the three-day competition on August 8.
"Honestly, everyone is raring to go," Miller said.
"We can't wait to get over there."
