The club appealed for more members in early June but none came forward so they voted to close at their last meeting in late June.
It is a sad ending for the club, which had a strong start when it re-formed in late 2014 and has invested more $50,000 in the community.

Apex president Donna Austin said it was "disappointing" that the club had to fold.
"We had a really good time serving and helping our community while we were open," she said.
"It's disappointing we've had to close. We've had offers from other community groups to join them in the future."
Ms Austin said members of the Lions Club of Gunnedah attended Apex's last meeting and are considering taking on the club's annual fundraising pig races
"Our remaining active members have offered to help them out if they choose to go ahead with that," she said.
Long-time Apex member Aylish Flannery said she would love to see the pig races live on.
"We are still hoping it will be run in the community at some point because it was something the community really loved," she said.
"Even though Apex didn't work out in Gunnedah at the moment, I want to encourage Gunnedah to get behind what is being done in our community; get behind what the community does have to offer."
Over the last five years, the club has gifted defibrillators to schools and Christmas hampers to emergency services, funded garden projects and excursions, assisted Gunnedah PCYC and youth council, joined in Clean Up Australia Day, and helped to bring the Royal Far West bus to town through Every Gunnedah Child.
Ms Flannery said while it was sad that Apex had to call it a day, she knew the club had made an impact.
"We've been really proud of what we've achieved over the last five years," she said.
"I'm really happy we've been able to help the community in so many different ways and it's wonderful we've had that opportunity to make our community better.
"There wouldn't be defibrillators in all the schools without Apex."
Apex has donated its remaining funds to the Lions Club, and its yard games and fairy floss machine to the PCYC.
