Celebrating Literacy and Numeracy Week 2019, 'The Gallery with the Most Stories' exhibition will display altered books, redefined pages, and new books and zines to explore the creativity of literacy.

"We hope to see lots of origami, artist books, artworks on paper and altered books at the exhibition," Gunnedah Shire Council's cultural precinct team leader Lauren Mackley said.
"We are also hoping that local poets, writers and authors will display their creative undertakings at the exhibition.
"This is a chance to think outside 'the book' when creating your artwork."
Artists, hobbyists, local schools, authors, writers and community groups can collect submission forms from the Gunnedah Visitor Information Centre on Chandos Street and submit their works to the gallery by 5pm Monday, September 2.
The exhibition will then officially open at 6pm, Friday, September 6 and close on Sunday, October 6.
