About 120 people have already registered for the event, which provides an opportunity for those involved with the livestock industry to hear about pasture and grazing systems.
The bi-annual event, which is sponsored by Gunnedah Shire Council, was last held in Gunnedah ten years ago, and the main topic of this year's event is 'renewed focus on livestock systems for resilience - the swing'.

"The topic will explore the pros and cons of this swing and the changing environment," Grasslands Conference convenor George Truman said.
"It is times like this that provide a good opportunity to assess your current enterprise and look at ways that you could be more productive especially as we are dealing with a very variable climate."
The also includes tours of a property in Manilla, which will look at beef, hay and look at pastures and forages being grown using waste water, and Narrabri, which will look at tropical grasses and how they are improving the soil, and opportunities for silage.
The Narrabri tour will also visit the Plant Breeding Institute to look at what they are doing with research into pastures.
Tickets for the event are available from the Grasslands Conference website.
