The mayor said it was "very fortunate" they were there at the same time as the students.
"I was particularly grateful at the time that [Mr Coulton] took the time to explain to the Year 6 students the role that the federal parliament play in the governing process of Australia and also the importance of each of the students to be involved in their community, as they will be the leaders of tomorrow," Cr Chaffey said.
The Year 6 students have also enjoyed playing in the snow and testing out their skiing skills.
They also watched Toy Story 4 at the cinema and became some of the first people in the country to see the new film.
