The 15-year-old died on Saturday, June 8, and will be laid to rest at the Gunnedah Memorial Lawn Cemetery on Wandobah Road this afternoon.
Countless locals have taken to social media to mark Heath's passing, including the Gunnedah Rugby League Football Club.
"It is with very heavy hearts that we send our deepest condolences to the King family on their loss of one of the club's biggest fans, Heathy," the club wrote.
"Playing footy won't be be same without your pep talks and cheering. You were a true champion. Fly high, mate. May you rest in peace."
The late Heath was the son of Katrina and Bill King and a brother to Maddison and Nathan, Lachlan, Dougie (deceased), Ryan, Oscar and AJ. He was a grandson for Henry and Rosemary Constable, and George and Shirley King (both deceased).
In lieu of flowers, the King family has asked locals to make donations through the My Cause website for the Heart Foundation, GS Kidd Memorial School, The Starlight Foundation and Westmead Children's Hospital.
More than $4000 had already been raised since the fund was created.
"We'd prefer just to donate all the funds to the people who made his life so special," Heath's mother Katrina King said.
