OVA and Gunnedah United both finished on five wins and a draw, but the former narrowly had a better for-and-against percentage on Sunday.
Eight teams took part in the tournament including Hillvue, Narrabri and Gunnedah FC. Tournament co-organiser Richard Grant, Phyllis Grant's son, said: "We'd obviously love to get more teams.

"North Companions were [the trophy] holders ... but they couldn't rustle up a team this year, which was a real shame because they've always been great supporters [of the event]."
Phyllis Grant passed away several years ago. Her son said soccer was her "great passion in life".
She never missed a game and was always there for any role that was needing some assistance in.

"Once we got this big trophy it really sort of let's you know that we appreciate what people do for sports, on a voluntary basis and for long periods of time," he said.
