Gunnedah business owner, Michelle Kiehne, was successful in the most recent round and said the finances assisted her to get the qualifications she needed to be able to offer training through Lash Out.
"The grant helped me to buy the beauty beds and pay for the training manuals," she said.
"I am qualified to train and I thought I could give people in rural places somewhere to learn without having to go to a major centre."
Ms Kiehne has already facilitated two training courses covering services including tanning, lash lifts, eyelash extensions and henna brows, and has another session in the works.
Applications for the latest round of the Business Partner Program closing on June 30. For more information, contact council's economic development team on 02 6740 2100.
