The 29-year-old has been in training for months and she is clocking up 80-100km a week as the marathons draw closer.
Fundraising is a major part of the initiative and achieved her original goal of $10,000 by June, with $1200 raised through a family fun run in April. She is now aiming for $15,000.
"Gunnedah Rugby Club has been a huge help and through selling hundred club tickets at all home games, I have raised over $2000," Ms Hopkinson said.
"I am incredibly grateful and humbled by the generosity of the Gunnedah community and everyone who has donated so far.
"If there are any businesses wanting to sponsor this amazing cause I am more than happy to tailor a package to suit them.
"This organisation is such an important tool to help protect children and families."
