Energy and Water Ombudsman NSW community engagement and investigations officer Julie Bye said while it was sad to see small numbers, locals can still get help on any normal day.
"If people know the services are out here, that's really important," Mrs Bye said.
"Even if they didn't come they know they can still contact us and keep an eye out for the next time we come."
Red Energy's Merryn Heeremans and Miroi Nicholson were on hand to assist anyone with energy questions, but they didn't "have much traffic" either.
"What we've had is general inquiries about bills, usage, payment assistance and if there's any cheaper deals they can get," Ms Heeremans said.
Ms Nicholson said most locals who visited the Red Energy stall varied in age from 20s to mid 50s and early 60s.
The expo was only a one-day event in Gunnedah, however those who missed out should keep an eye out for another expo to be held in Tamworth at the end of the year.
