Red Devils coach Dan Martin said it was pleasing to see the side bounce back from a heavy loss to Walcha last week.
"Our attack was a lot better today [Saturday] than it was last week," Martin told the Namoi Valley Independent.
"It's a terrible thing to say, but last week we didn't get off the line well and didn't really play proper football.
"Walcha is a good side, marched us around the paddock and dealt with us accordingly because we didn't get our structures right.
"This week we started to get our structures back to where they need to be and it showed in the result.
"There is still a lot for us to work on, but overall I am pleased with the performance from our boys."
Martin said the physicality of the clash with Barraba had left a few players nursing injuries.
"I believe we will be down a couple more guys due to injury," he said.
"From what I understand, there will be a groin injury, a concussion and maybe even a hamstring as well.
"They [Barraba] are a pretty good team, in terms of physicality, so it was pleasing our boys stood up to it.
"But we do have a week off now due to the long weekend and that will certainly help those guys recover a little bit."
Martin said the inclusion of experienced players into the team was vital in getting the side across the line.
"It was great to have some of the older heads back in the team," he said.
"Guys like Jamie Mitchell at number 12, Brett Roseby and our guys out on the wing.
"The guys out there as well as the outside backs worked hard today, as did our full backs and Oscar Hunt."
