The surveys are the result of a collaboration between the Telstra Business Centre Tamworth (TBC) and the Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) to tackle community concerns raised in Local Area Group meetings.
As part of the Telecommunications Outreach Program (TOP), LPSC released a questionnaire to gather more detailed information, and the results have been passed on to the TBC to aid solutions.

A technician from TBC will conduct site surveys on June 5-6 and June 12-13 to gather more specific site data and information.
"Residents are requested to be courteous and respectful while the technician is carrying out his duties," LPSC economic development officer Ian George said.
"During this exercise, the data he will collect is important and essential to the overall success of the project."
In the questionnaire, LPSC mayor Andrew Hope said more than 70 per cent of respondents rated their mobile service as bad, "about a quarter" rated it as fair, and less than five per cent rated it as good.
"We needed hard data to take the case forward and thanks to the community we got 180 responses, from right around the shire," Cr Hope said.
"To all who contributed your Council says thank you, your communities say thank you because you provided the blueprint we can take to government and the Telcos and say these outline problems your constituents and customers say need fixing and as soon as possible."
It remains to be seen whether a new cell base station at Spring Ridge to be installed under the Mobile Black Spot Program will make a difference.
