In Curlewis, Annette Eveleigh hosted an morning tea for the fifth year in honour of her mum, Daphne Humby, who died of cancer in 2013.
More than 30 guests from Curlewis, Tamworth, Gunnedah and even Brisbane, enjoyed a cuppa and some sweet treats in Mrs Eveleigh's backyard.
It is a tradition Mrs Eveleigh has continued after helping her mother host Biggest Morning Teas for more than a decade in memory of her brother Barry Bracken. She has also lost her son-in-law Darren Kleinschafer to cancer.
"They were too good for this world ... Cancer sucks," Mrs Eveleigh said.
"Here today, I think everyone has been touched by cancer in some way. We have cancer survivors and a couple going through treatment right now too."
The Curlewis local also held a raffle and plant sale, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
In Gunnedah, Winanga-li Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, and Gunnedah NRMA also hosted Biggest Morning Teas.
Winanga-li invited locals to share in baked goods and Mary Ranken children walked down to NRMA for an iced cupcake.
