The crew of Gunnedah locals took part in the Blue Mountains Ultra Trail Run through the Blue Mountains at Katoomba
The treacherous course has an unfathomable number of stairs with the first eight kilometres being steep decline and the final three kilometres being all uphill steps.

The obvious physical challenge of the course, is accompanied by a big mental challenge as cramps and fatigue inevitably kick in during the event.
GHFC coach Maryanne Perkins said she was incredibly proud of her crew.
"I'm very proud of our crew, especially given most of them have not even participated in a half-marathon, let alone an Ultra train," Perkins said.
"Camaraderie is often what carried you over the line in events like this and GHFC is known for being an inclusive exercise community, considered a second family by many.
"The athletes will enjoy a well deserved recovery week before resuming training next week."
