About 20 people attended the intimate event at Wolseley Park's rotunda, where they each lit a tealight candle.
GoCo's Kate McGrath spoke at the vigil, and read out the names of those who have lost their lives as a result of domestic and family violence over the past twelve names.

On average, Gunnedah has 64 reported incidents of domestic violence each year, however majority of incidents go unreported. On average, only one-in-three victims report incidents to police or loved ones.
It is also likely that one report could represent just one in a long line of unreported incidents that have occurred in that relationship or household over many years.
Statistics, however, do not capture secondary victims such as children, family, friends, colleagues and others who are close to the victim.
Gunnedah Community Action Team aims to raise awareness, and prevent and address the issues of domestic and family violence, sexual violence, homelessness and drug and alcohol misuse and the impacts of these issues in the Gunnedah community.
