Several polling places will be open in Gunnedah and the surrounding towns, all open from 8am to 6pm, and have assisted wheelchair access unless otherwise stated.
They include:
- Baan Baa Community Hall
- Boggabri Public School
- Carroll Public School
- Coonabarabran Sport and Recreation Centre
- Curlewis Public School
- Gunnedah South Public School
- Gunnedah Town Hall
- Mullaley Public School, not wheelchair accessible
- Narrabri Public School
- Nurruby OOSH, Narrabri
- Narrabri West Anglican Church Hall
- Pilliga Public School
- Tambar Springs Public School, not wheelchair accessible
- Namoi Valley Christian School, Wee Waa
There are six candidates running in the Parkes electorate. They are: Liberal Democrats' Daniel Jones, The Nationals' Mark Coulton, independent David Paull, Labor's Jack Ayoub, Independent Will Landers and United Australia Party's Petrus Van Der Steen.

Applications for postal votes have now closed, and ballot papers have to be completed and witnessed on or before today and posted back to the Australian Electoral Commission.
