In her years with the ALGWA, Cr Fuller's aim has been to get more regional women in local government involved with the association.
"[I joined the association] when I first got into council and I was elected at the first meeting as the executive for rural/regional areas because there wasn't many; there was only three rural/regional councillors, the rest was city," she said.
"I was determined to get some balance, and now we have six rural/regional councillors against eight city councillors."
At the recent event, a number of key speakers including Jessica Rowe AM, Deborah Thomas, Victoria Weekes, and Libby Lyons, addressed councillors from all over the country.
Cr Fuller said there was lots of topics discussed, such as the new strategic direction of the incoming government, regional and rural women, freeways and expressways, and "a lot to do" with water and drought, and climate change.
Gunnedah Shire Council acknowledged Cr Fuller's life membership at Wednesday's ordinary meeting.
