This week, local volunteers will come together for a lunch as thanks for the support they offer ageing community members, by taking them to medical appointments, shopping, day centre activities, day trips and social outings.
"GoCo Volunteers play a critical role in the successful delivery of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). Their dedication to the greater good supports people to remain living independently in their own homes for longer periods of time," GoCo CHSP team leader Erin Mercer said.

GoCo is always on the look-out for more volunteers.
"It is an opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and share some knowledge. I would encourage anyone with some spare time to consider volunteering for GoCo," Ms Mercer said.
"It's a wonderful way to become involved in a meaningful program and give back to your local community."
