Gunnedah MS Incorporated has raised more than $2500 to help locals who suffer from MS disease through their recent fashion parade. Local women of all ages showed off the latest styles from local women's store Willow & Fli, all in the name of charity. "Around 80-90 people attended, and everyone was very impressed with the speaker [Dr Julia Thompson]," Mrs Smith said. "She spoke about a variety of topics to do with the brain." Consultant neurologist Dr Julia Thompson has done work in MS, epilepsy, autoimmune neurology, neuroimmunology, headache and other specialist clinics after graduating from the University of Sydney. MS is a condition of the central nervous system, interfering with nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.
