FC surrendered a 2-0 lead in the draw and will look to right the ship when they host the Hillvue Rovers on Saturday.
First grade coach Andy Cygan said the draw was "an up and down game".
"It was another result that was incredibly hard to take and now leaves us five points behind Souths after just three games," Cygan said.
"We have already conceded more goals than the whole of last season in just three games and are not taking the chances in front of goal. "

Cygan said the club's depth would be tested this weekend with several key players expected to miss the clash.
"Michael Cooke and Wellington Sardinha will be missing this week due to injury, but we will see the return of a few from other commitments," he said.
"One pleasing thing is that we had 24 players train on Tuesday and they are slowly understanding that we are all playing for places.
"This is an outstanding squad of 34 players and I have no doubt we'll be thereabouts at the end.
"It's time to let some other players have a go and see where it takes us."
FC's reserve grade side will be out to continue their winning ways after claiming a 3-0 victory over the Rovers.
"We have lost Captain Nathan Hobart who has a broken toe and will be at least a couple of months before he's back," Cygan said.
"That's the beauty of having plenty of depth, someone can step up and fill that spot."
Saturday's action begins with the reserve grade game at 1pm, followed by the first grade game at 3pm.
