Team member Jess Donnelly said the vigil would "give people a platform to stand together".
"We want to promote a clear message, that we as the Gunnedah community will not tolerate violence," Ms Donnelly said.
"There will also be a minute of silence at the vigil to remember those whose lives have been lost as a result of domestic and family violence. One life lost is one too many."
The action team aims to raise awareness, and prevent and address the issues of domestic and family violence, sexual violence, homelessness and drug and alcohol misuse and the impacts of these issues in the Gunnedah community.
