Locals are invited to come together on Thursday night to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence.
From 6pm-7.30pm, community members will gather at the Wolesley Park rotunda to make a stand with the Gunnedah CommUNITY Action team, which are behind the event.
Team member Jess Donnelly said the vigil would "give people a platform to stand together".
"We want to promote a clear message, that we as the Gunnedah community will not tolerate violence," Ms Donnelly said.
"There will also be a minute of silence at the vigil to remember those whose lives have been lost as a result of domestic and family violence. One life lost is one too many."
The action team aims to raise awareness, and prevent and address the issues of domestic and family violence, sexual violence, homelessness and drug and alcohol misuse and the impacts of these issues in the Gunnedah community.
