Special events have been keeping Gunnedah region students entertained, including cross country carnivals and special breakfasts and morning teas to celebrate our Mums for Mother's Day.
Gunnedah Public School's leaders Triana, Opal and Clinton attended Young Leaders of the West camp at the Warrumbungles National Park where we learnt different leadership skills, what biodiversity means and how they change the biodiversity in their school. They endured cold temperatures in tents but enjoyed hot chocolates to keep the chill away.
Julia Rennick has started music lessons at the school and students participated in cross country recently, with great sportsmanship was on show.
Carinya Christian School students from the age of eight and up also completed cross country circuits, with some qualifying for State Christian Schools Sports Association Cross Country Carnival in Sydney later this month.
At St Xavier's Primary School, students and staff celebrated women in time for Mother's Day, inviting mothers, grandmothers, aunts, carers and special people along for a morning tea.
