Employees at Hitachi Gunnedah have had their hard work recognised, being nominated for the Outstanding Supplier award as part of the NSW Mining Industry and Supplier Awards.
Hitachi Gunnedah's parts and services manager Matthew Bradley said the branch was "certainly pleased" a member of the community had nominated them for the award.
"It's a privilege to be nominated and in the running for the award, so we're obviously doing something right as a branch," Mr Bradley said.
"Everyone in the branch puts in as much as they can give to the [mining] industry and it's something we're all pretty passionate about."
Mr Bradley and his team service about 90 pieces of machinery in the area, with Whitehaven's Maules Creek coal mine owning about 65 of these.
NSW Minerals Council chief executive officer Stephen Galilee said the awards "acknowledge key contributors to the important role of mining in NSW".
"The contributions made by our award finalists are critical to the ongoing pursuit of excellence in our industry and showcase some of the best our state mining sector has to offer," Mr Galilee said.
Other awards in the NSW Mining Industry and Supplier Awards include Mining Operation of the Year, Young Achiever, and Outstanding Contribution to Mining.
The NSW Mining Industry and Suppliers annual dinner will be held on Thursday, May 30 at the NSW Parliament House, where awards will be presented to winners.
