The 21-year-old had tears in her eyes when the announcement was made at the opening of the Art and Photography Pavilion on Friday night. She was sashed by 2018 Gunnedah Showgirl Haylee Murrell.

Georgia is a fourth-year apprentice electrician from Ghoolendaadi and won the title of Apprentice of the Year for Gunnedah.
She said her career is "mentally challenging" and encouraged any females considering training in a trade to "go for it".
Chennelle Winsor was also taken by surprise when she was sashed 2019 Junior Showgirl.
The 17-year-old Gunnedah girl attends Carinya Christian School in Tamworth and is passionate about photography. She has been learning in the field from well-known local photographer Paul Mathews and said she recently assisted at a wedding.
"I got to capture someone's actual memories and when they're older, they get to look back on them, and it makes me love photography even more," she said.
Rosie Harper was named 2019 Gunnedah Showgirl runner-up and Lucy Moore was named 2019 Junior Showgirl runner-up.
The entrants were judged on their general knowledge, character, speaking ability and knowledge of rural issues.
This year's judges were Jules Bailey, Keli McDonald and Rob Hooke.
On the night, Ms McDonald said it was a "stiff competition" and "every woman here is a winner".
"It's not easy to put your name on a form and stand up in front of your peers," she said.
"We're so lucky to have all of you."
