Dressage competitors will be the first to hit the ring with the competition getting underway at 8am on Friday.
"We've got very good entries," dressage convenor Dixie Walker said.
The competition has drawn 160 entries across the 24 classes, with riders traveling from all over the region.
"We cater from under-10s through to opens (17 and over)," she said.

Two of the most popular events are the freestyle to music, and the Pas de Deux, which translates to 'dance for two' and as Walker explained sees two competitors ride to music to a test they have written themselves.
The showjumping action commences at 8.30am on Friday and has similarly attracted entries from all over the region.
"We've got quite good entries considering the dry year and the conditions," showjumping convenor Robert Witts said, adding that the arena "is in great condition for showjumping".
The feature event is the RW Hyem Memorial, which is rated 1.25 metres and above, and will be the final event run on Saturday.
