The service was led by Gunnedah RSL sub-branch president Peter Kannengiesser, with Gunnedah Salvation Army captain Richard Day reading the prayers, service address, and bible reading.
Mr Day also led the hymn Amazing Grace, which was accompanied by a David Walker playing the bagpipes.

As part of his address, Mr Day spoke of the lives lost in Anzac Cove in 1915; but also of mateship and bonding.
Notably, he spoke of the importance of remembering those who lost their lives to make Australia the great country it is today.
Amity Cleal of Gunnedah Shire Band performed The Last Post and Reveille with no faults. Gunnedah South Public School captains Oscar Donoghue and Abbie Passfield and mayor Jamie Chaffey all laid a wreath for the fallen.
The mid-morning march down Conadilly Street will begin at 10.30am, with the second service held at 11am at the Gunnedah cenotaph.
The NVI will have continuing coverage of Anzac Day services throughout the day.
