The Gunnedah Showgirl, runner-up, and Junior Showgirl will be announced at the annual art and photography section opening night on Friday at 6pm.

Junior showgirl entrants
Lucy Moore
Lucy is 17-years-old and attends Gunnedah High School. She loves touch football and softball, and hopes to work as an agronomist. Lucy entered the competition to improve her confidence when speaking in front of large crowds.
Chennelle Winsor
Chennelle is a 17-year-old Gunnedah girl currently studying at Carinya Christian School in Tamworth. She wants to travel up north in order to see Australia from a different perspective, and says all young women, "no matter what race or colour", should be confident in themselves.
Teigan Meyers
Teigan is a 16-year-old student at St Mary's College Gunnedah. Her aim after finishing school is to travel to America to represent Australia in horse riding. Teigan applied for the competition to get more involved within the community and the show society.
Senior showgirl entrants
Ashleigh Mills
Ashleigh is an 18-year-old part-time property worker, retail worker, and student at Gunnedah High School. Ashleigh hopes to obtain a degree in veterinary science and medicine. She hopes to push herself out of her comfort zone and to gain confidence in her public speaking skills.
Sheridan Lewis
Sheridan is 22-years-old who owns a small family day care business. She is also studying a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Sheridan entered the competition to challenge herself and to step out of her comfort zone.
Georgia Foley
Georgia is a 21-year-old girl apprentice electrician from Ghoolendaadi. She hopes to one day gain employment at Narrabri Coal underground by completing more courses. Georgia wants to meet other rural women as part of the experience.
Rosie Harper
Rosie is a 23-year-old health service assistant studying a Diploma of Nursing at TAFE, with hopes of working in regional and rural communities when she has graduated. She says the competition would help her to engage more with the community.
