On Thursday, April 25, veterans and service men and women from generations of armed conflicts will bear their medals and join marches across the district with family members, school children, and emergency service personnel in honour of the fallen.
Services
Gunnedah
Dawn service: 5.30am at the Gunnedah Cenotaph, Conadilly Street
Mid-morning service: the march will start at 10.30am from the corner of Marquis and Elgin streets and continue down Conadilly Street.
The official service starts at 11am at the cenotaph on the corner of Elgin and Conadilly streets.
Curlewis
Dawn service: 5.30am at the Curlewis Cenotaph
Morning service: The march will start from the Commercial Hotel at 8.45am to the cenotaph, with a service to begin at 9.00am.
Breeza
The march will start at 8.30am at the old cenotaph and lead to the new cenotaph near the park for the service.
Tambar Springs
Dawn service: 5.30am at the Tambar Springs War Memorial
Mid-morning service: 11am at the Tambar Springs War Memorial
Baan Baa
Dawn service: 5.30am at the war memorial on Baranbah Street.
There will be a sausage sizzle after the service and the Railway Hotel will be open.
Boggabri
Morning service: The march will start from the RSL at 8:30am and proceed to the cenotaph on Merton Street for the 8.45am service.
