Entries are soon to be closed for the 2019 Gunnedah Showgirl competition, so get in quick.
Any budding showgirls will need to get their entries in by Easter Monday, April 22, when entries will close.
The competition consists of junior (15-18 years of age) and senior (18-25 years of age) categories, and involves an interview with a panel of judges, attending the Gunnedah Show's art and photography exhibition opening night, and being involved in show festivities.
Entrants are judged on their general knowledge, character, speaking ability and knowledge of rural issues.
Past entrants have praised the competition and said how it has improved their confidence and public speaking skills.
Last year's senior showgirl winner Haylee Murrell said it was a "really worthwhile experience" and encouraged all local girls to throw their hat in the ring.
Gunnedah Show will be held from Friday, April 26 until Sunday, April 28.
