Ahead of this weekend's annual Anne Singleton Cup tournament, the newly formed committee is encouraging the community's netball lovers to get involved in the sport.
New association president Steve Betts told the Namoi Valley Independent Saturday's tournament would also act as a registration day for the 2019 season.
"The Anne Singleton Cup involves all of our primary schools and we are hoping it will be a bit of a platform to have people register for the season," Betts said.
"Hopefully, through the tournament we might be able to encourage some kids who may have never played before and will want to get involved this season.
"We are seeing a bit of a trend of older kids leaving the game at the age of 15 or 16, so retention of players will also be a big focus for us as well."

Betts said the new-look committee had already been hard at work exploring potential upgrades for Gunnedah's facilities.
"So far we have touched base with Gunnedah Shire Council and Netball NSW," he said. "They have both been very supportive so far and really receptive of our goals to give our netball facilities a bit of a face lift."
With the Gunnedah netball season launching on May 4, Betts said the new committee would "love to see more families get involved this season".
"We are really focused on promoting good sportsmanship this season, in fact we are implementing an award specifically aimed at sportsmanship," he said.
"Each week the umpires will cast their votes for the sportsmanship award and really recognise those players who play in the right spirit.
"Hopefully that focus will create a positive environment for the whole family to enjoy throughout the season."
- The Anne Singleton Cup tournament will start at 9.30am on Saturday.
