"I have seen first-hand the life-saving power of connected communities, with their shared hardships and close interpersonal relationships."
As the saying goes ‘A problem shared is a problem halved’ there’s truth in that – it does make you feel much lighter knowing that you have someone who will listen.
- Rebecca Tunbridge: CRT
The event is the brain-child of Gunnedah CRT business owner Rebecca Tunbridge who said it was "okay to share that you are scared or anxious and may have difficulty coping".
"We wanted to show [our clients] that it is okay to talk about how hard things are," Ms Tunbridge said.
"Coming together for this evening of mental well-being will allow us to listen to each other, reflect on our own situations and hopefully have a chat and share what we are collectively feeling."
CRT and The Ruralco Foundation have partnered to host the local event.
