Councillors made the resolution to fully subsidise the annual $573.46 fee for the 2019/2020 year at Wednesday's ordinary council meeting. The decision came after RDA requested that the council waive the fee.

At the meeting, councillor Gae Swain showed her support for the RDA's request, saying it was a "wonderful organisation".
"They do it voluntarily but they love doing it," Cr Swain said.
The volunteer organisation provides horse riding for children and adults with a disability within the Gunnedah district. The RDA subsidises children's fees, maintains equipment and cares for the horses used in the program.
