Weeks of Speed's Ian Guest said this year's parade was "the biggest they've had".
"It was a good procession of all different vehicles along Conadilly Street," Mr Guest said.
The vintage tractors, cars, and even a steam engine then took up residence in the carpark for a few hours as part of the Show 'n' Shine event, where Mr Guest said "people asked lots of questions".
Across the road at Wolseley Park, visitors shopped up a storm at the CommUNITY Carnival Day, which also featured the regular Gunnedah markets.
I want it to be bigger and better every year.
- Lauren Mackley, Gunnedah Shire Council's arts and cultural officer
Gunnedah Shire Council's arts and cultural officer Lauren Mackley said the carnival day "was a really lovely day".
"The workshops and musical performances were really well attended," Ms Mackley said.
"There was about 45 participants ... in the body percussion, Italian folk vocal training and choir practice [workshops]."
Ms Mackley said there were close to 40 vendors, and more than 500 visitors to the day.
Other events on the weekend included the 1/8 Mile Drag Racing Test and Tune, Speedway Car Racing, a Speed Chess Challenge, and a remote control planes demonstration day.
The final Weeks of Speed event will be the annual Mount Porcupine Hill Climb on Sunday, March 24.
