Hugh Hunter from Baan Baa is joining students around the nation in the School Strike 4 Climate movement, which is calling for for no more coal or gas, no Adani coal mine, and 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030.

The St Mary's College student is calling on teachers, community members and his peers to meet him at 12pm outside the Gunnedah Courthouse and join him in marching down Conadilly Street to Wolseley Park.
St Mary's principal Max Quirk contacted the NVI on Friday to make a statement.
"We think the students have a very valid cause, however, it’s not a school-based event," he said.
"Students who wish to attend and whose parents are coming to collect them are free to go."
