"I first heard about Bravehearts in 2016 when I was doing my first full Marathon in the Gold Coast," Steph said.
"I honestly looked at the runners doing the 777 and thought they were crazy and had no desire to complete another full marathon let alone seven."
Steph said it stayed with her and after researching Bravehearts, she was "hooked".
"It is for such a wonderful cause," she said.
"No child should have to go through anything like that and if I can do anything to help I will."
My biggest hurdle is my mind - it gives up before my body.

The 29-year-old said she was "very daunted" by the challenge and had been training more than five times a week in the lead-up to the start of the 777 Marathon in July.
"This is a huge physical and mental challenge," Steph said.
"My biggest hurdle is my mind - it gives up before my body - so training is also reading lots of information regarding building mental strength and putting that into action."
"My plan is to make the distance I will run as much as I can then walk and crawl if I need to."
Steph is aiming to raise $10,000 for Bravehearts by June but will need the community's help to achieve this goal.
The local is preparing for an upcoming fundraiser on April 14 at 9am. The event at Pensioners Hill will feature a 2km Mums and Bubs walk, 6km fun run, and a cycle race.
There will be a jumping castle, face painting and a barbecue on the day.
Bravehearts is a not-for-profit, non-government agency, which aims to prevent of child sexual assault.
