The sun was shining for Boggabri Pony Club's monthly rally day, while in the water, Sacred Heart School are busy training for the upcoming Polding Swimming Trials.

Sacred Heart principal Dallas Hyatt took thirteen students along to the diocesan swimming carnival in Moree recently where they "showed the rest of the diocese how great Sacred Heart School really is as their behaviour and sportsmanship was exemplary and they gave 100 per cent at all times".

They tackled many challenging obstacles such as the longer pool, the high level of competition and also their "one-eyed, over-enthusiastic principal".
"All children should be very proud of their achievements," the school said.
Jack Rees qualified for the junior boys breaststroke and PP5 relay team (schools with students less than 65) along with Luke Grace-Hendrie, Claire Watt, Cameron Valks and Molly Rees.
The students will represent the Armidale diocese at the Polding Swimming Trials on March 27 in Sydney.
Their behaviour and sportsmanship was exemplary and they gave 100 per cent at all times.

Over at the Boggabri Showground, the local pony club held lessons in show jumping, pattern work and flexing their horses.
"It was a wonderful day with fun had by all … [and] a wide range of ages attended the day," pony club's Kirsty Ratcliffe said.
"The children have all come along such a long way with their horses and ponies and learning about them.
"We are so very lucky to have great instructors come along each rally day to help with the children."
The club will host its annual two-day Mothers Day stock horse and Blanch Trophy day from May 11-12.
