Mrs Wills received the award on Saturday night for her commitment to the Liverpool Plains through the CWA over the last 30 years.

For more than six months, she has spearheaded the CWA's drought relief campaign for the region's struggling farmers.

As part of this campaign, Mrs Wills has organised more than $190,000 worth of vouchers to support businesses, farmers, contractors and tradespeople.

Mrs Wills was honoured when she found out she had been nominated.

"I felt honoured to think they appreciated what I was doing for the farming community," she said.

Liverpool Plains Shire mayor Andrew Hope said it was very well deserved.

"[Mrs Wills has] spent the better part of her life working for the community," Mr Hope said.

"She cares about her community deeply and works very hard to show that.

"She puts in the effort and she's a very valued member of the community."
