Gunnedah Rural Museum member Bill Barry said there was something for everyone.
"We'll have a steam engine demonstration and farm machinery too," Mr Barry said.
"We also have an extensive bottle collection."
The museum's prime exhibit, the iconic model railway, will be chugging along for visitors to look at as well.
Entry to the museum will be by gold coin donation, which supports the museum.
Soft drinks and baked goods will also be available on the day, and proceeds from these will also go towards the museum.
