Students from Gunnedah Public, Gunnedah South Public, Mullaley Public, Boggabri Public, Curlewis Public and Carroll Public schools raced to make state at the newly upgraded pool.

While there was competition in the pool, the youngsters also enjoyed time with friends and practised good sportsmanship.
Primary schools in the Gunnedah shire held their own carnivals in the lead-up to the zone competition. The students who were successful at Friday's carnival will go on to compete at a state level in the coming months.
The Gunnedah Memorial Pool Complex has been inundated with carnivals these past weeks, with St Mary's College's houses battling it out on Friday and Gunnedah High School embracing the fun factor the week before.
