This means that sprinklers are limited to two hours per day, hard/paved surfaces can only be washed down using a high pressure hose and permits are needed to fill pools over 2,000 litres.
“If consumers in both communities observe these conservation measures and meet the target water reduction required, level 1 measures will be sustainable for the foreseeable future,” water services manager for Liverpool Plains Shire Council, Rod Batterham said.
Werris Creek remains on Level 1 Water Conservation Measures, with Quipolly Dam sitting at 48 per cent capacity.

“The Drought Management trigger for level 1 Water Conservation Measures in Werris Creek is expected to be reached in mid-March,” Mr Batterham said.
“The cooperation of all consumers is essential towards forestalling the need for the introduction of further or higher water conservation measures.”
