This year the event is held on Friday, March 8 with the theme #BalanceforBetter.
This theme celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and makes the call for improved gender balance.
Gunnedah Shire Council’s cultural precinct team leader Lauren Mackley said the theme is the inspiration for the exhibition, but any artwork that celebrates, empowers, or explores women can be entered.
“This year’s exhibition will also see a gold coin entry fee to White Ribbon Australia,” Ms Mackley said.
“Enter the exhibition or come along to opening night and help us in making a positive difference for women and raise awareness of the role women play in our society.”
