Held in honour of the long-time club member who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2014, the sixth "Shorty 40" was taken out by Gunnedah's Brad Perrett.
Keith Urquhart, who hails from Manilla but is a Gunnedah club member was second with Gunnedah Speedway Club president Simon Hood third.
The race was the feature of a big night of racing and drew a field of 21 with a strong local contingent joined by drivers from Tamworth, Gilgandra and Narrabri.
