The Boggabri Bowling Club could become part of a master precinct plan if the land can be transferred to the Narrabri Shire Council.

The property at 65 Laidlaw Street is crown land and in December 2018, the council applied to Department of Industry for the ownership to be transferred.
When the club became defunct, the council took over the lease in 2015 and it was then considered for a child care facility but in December 2017, the council decided it was not feasible.
A council spokesperson said the council would like to draw up the master plan this year but "it depends on what answer we get from crown land".
The spokesperson said a "engaging, communicating and consulting with the local community" would be a key part of developing the master plan.
"When you do master planning, you don’t go to the community with a blank piece of paper. You go to help people with what might be workable for the local community," the spokesperson said.
"They engage in that process with you so they can own the plan as well. It is a two-way street.
"A wholistic approach to engage your community will get the best outcomes of the consultation process."
The Boggabri precinct includes Laidlaw, Caxton and Merton streets.
