The singer-songwriter has been visiting from Nashville for a few months and will host a community concert on Saturday night.
Burgoyne visited local schools in late December to source talent, with a keen group practising all this week ahead of the show at the Gunnedah Town Hall. She said she also has a “very special song featuring a secret special guest”.

The singer said it was a great chance for Gunnedah’s youth to showcase their musical talents.
“[I want to] bring the kids out of their shells and encourage and develop the next generation of performers coming from Gunnedah,” Burgoyne said.
“This is an opportunity I would have died to have when I was at school. If this show is a success I would love to make this an annual thing.
“Community support would depend on if I will do it again next year.”
Burgoyne often recalls her own childhood experience of singing in choirs at the Sydney Eisteddfod, Commonwealth Games and the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
“It began because of two incredible people who poured their time into the community nurturing talent in school – Mrs Amos and Mrs Croft,” she said.
“I feel so honoured to continue to pass the flame to local Gunnedah students as they join me to perform in my one official Australian show.”
The concert is also a unique opportunity for the musician to put on her very own show for the first time in her hometown.

“I’ve stood in a corner and sung at the local pubs, but I don’t think Gunnedah has seen even 30 per cent of what I do,” Burgoyne said.
“I am so excited to share my stories and adventures with Gunnedah.
“I’ve had a few set-backs with losing my voice at the Tamworth Country Music Festival but the show is coming together.
“Tickets have been selling to my fans and supporters from as far as Sydney, so this is such a special opportunity to connect with them and also share what Gunnedah can offer.
“I know if people took a chance on spending their Saturday night with me they wouldn’t feel disappointed.”
