Humbled last time the two sides met, Court House restricted Kookaburras to 7-159 and then chased the runs down with four overs to spare.

They did have a couple of wobbles along the way, Ben Irwin (21no) and Darrin Cameron (13) putting on a 39 for the eighth wicket to get them home.

Earlier, Milne again anchored the Kookaburras innings with 71 - his third half-century in as many digs. 

“He seems to be scoring a lot of runs for them this year,” Court House allrounder Sam Doubleday said.

On Saturday, he belted 10 fours in his 70-ball knock, punishing anything that was on the wrong line.

“He played a lot of good shots off good deliveries and anytime there a loose ball bowled he pounced on it,” Doubleday said.

But aside from Milne no-one else really gave Court House too much trouble, opener Paddy Paul the next best with 18.

Capitalising on the work done up front by Irwin and Farran Lamb, the Court House spinners did the damage with Doubleday picking up 2-31, Brad Gander 4-24 and Brodie Cleal 1-33.

Routed for just 55 last time the two sides met, Court House knew the runs weren’t going to be easy to get.

“Anytime you’re chasing at Wolsely it can be a little bit tough because it is such a big ground,” Doubleday said.

“I can’t recall too many sides winning batting second.”

“It was pleasing to get that.”

They got off to a solid start with openers Oscar King (29) and Jay Urquhart (17) putting on 44 for the first wicket but then lost their way losing 6-22.

Blake Small (36) and Lamb (17) rebuilt the innings but when both fell within the space of eight runs it gave Kookaburras a sniff.

But Irwin and Cameron polished off the runs to get them level.

Following on from his efforts with the ball, Milne was the chief wicket-taker for Kookaburras with 4-19.

Cleal and Gander had on Friday night helped the Sign Print Stars to their first win of the Gunnedah Automotive Gunnedah Premier League.

Both picked up four wickets to stifle the Tamba Industrial Bulls’ innings.

Batting first the Bulls could only muster 65, the innings tailing away after openers Jono Middlebrook (18) and Milne (19) were dismissed within seven runs of each other.

Lachlan Fleming (11) was the only other batsmen to reach double figures as they were bowled out in 16.5 overs.

The Stars chased down the runs in 13.2 overs with Zach Martin hitting 18, Kaleb McIlveen 12 and Chris Campbell 13.
