FORMER Gunnedah Red Devils junior Harry Wilson has secured a place in the Junior Wallabies under-20 World Championships training camp squad.
The now Queensland representative was named in the extended squad, which will come together in Canberra in preparation for the championships in Argentina in June.
All of the selected players have been training with their state squads for the past few weeks, but the upcoming camp will be the first time all of the players will be together as a squad.
Junior Wallabies head coach Jason Gilmore said the team’s starting lineup was far from settled.
“The squad have been working hard over the break in their respective state academies,” Gilmore said.
“The work that they’re putting in will hold them in good stead as we begin our preparations for the World Championship in Argentina, in June.
“We’ve seen a lot of this group playing at both club and representative level, they’re showing a lot of promise, however, no position is set and the group will need to constantly work to make the starting lineup.”
The Junior Wallabies are scheduled to tackle England, Italy and Ireland in Pool B of the June Championships.
