Winning the toss and batting first, Albion began in strong fashion with new comer Brad Cady (40) and veteran James Mack (28) helping the side post a competitive 119.
Albion captain Brad Jenkinson said he was pleased with his side’s batting efforts.
“Before the game I wanted the boys to really focus on playing in partnerships and valuing their wicket,” Jenkinson said.
“I think we did that pretty well in parts with Zac Martin and Brad at the top of the order and few guys down lower.
“I guess if there is one area where we could improve it would be having one or two guys go on with their starts.
“A few guys got going but weren’t able to carry on so that’s something I think we can work on.”
“There’s certainly some room for improvement but I think we batted and bowled in partnerships, which was pleasing.”

Albion’s bowling partnerships proved the difference as Ash White (3-11), Hayden Baker (3-35), Andrew George (2-15) and Zac Martin (2-5) all combined to dismiss Court House for 67.
Issac Harris was the only shining light with bat for Court House, top scoring with 23.
“It was really pleasing to see our younger guys take the lead with the ball,” Jenkinson said.
“Ash White was particularly good I thought, he has now taken the new ball for us a couple of times and done a really good job.
“He’s just sharp enough to worry batsman and is learning all the time, it was really pleasing to see him get the reward.”
Saturday’s victory helped Albion secure the one-day Cup for the first time in four years.
“Winning the one-day competition wasn’t really a huge focus for us,” Jenkinson said.
“For us it is about going out and trying to win every game and improve all the time.
“However, despite that they are always nice to win and I think the win was enough for the club to take the one-day Cup for the first time in about four years, which is also really pleasing.”
- Albion will now turn their attention to their next clash against Mornington at Kitchener Park on Saturday.
